er.. can i assume either u staying in non contested GRC during the last GE or ur underaged to vote. geez in a democracy, there is always a choice

err.. why u say no choice but to believe? im definitely taking everything spewed on rally day till now as dung. this crap will be taken into consideration along with other crap on the next GE and tats when everyone will have a choice

SINGAPORE : The new Punggol 21 Plus is a long-term plan and is thus not expected to be completed in the next five years.

Minister of State for National Development, Grace Fu, says the masterplan, announced recently, will take time to study and develop.

Now they learn smart. They dare not commit to any plan in Punggol. They just say take time to study and develop so that when year 2015, things screw up, they can just wash their hands and walk away with it. I'm not sure how many Punggolians can wait till that day to see Punggol well develop as per planned. How many more '5 years' can we wait? How many more '5 years' can we trust? We got NO CHOICE but to believe them once again.
Sorry to say that, but we really got no choice. Just look at the recent GST hike, bus fare going up, do we have a choice?

from the article http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/300035/1/.html

"Punggol 21 was initiated some 10 years ago in 1996 and was pitted to be the next lively housing estate in Singapore with over 90,000 public and private units.

But then the economic crisis kicked in and demand for new flats dipped and construction slowed down."

tis is such a simple excuse to fool the people. anyway no demand for flats doesnt mean no demand for amenities for residents who took the bait and bought into PG21 right?
exactly!! from the same article:
Tay Kim Poh, CEO, HDB, says: "We're building about 2,000 to 3,000 flats a year (in Punggol). Today we have about close to 19,000 flats completed or under construction on the ground. Within the next few years, we're going to see a lot more flats coming up. Most of them will be located near the town centre. That will give us enough catchment to proceed with the developments of the town centre."

means more constructions to build more flats to lure more ppl into moving to punggol b4 they think there's enough ppl ("catchment") to proceed with the developments of the town centre! when will that be?! when?!?!?!?! quick quick quick! everyone go 骗 all your friends and relatives to buy flats in punggol... fast!

"But according to feedback to HDB, 81 percent of residents said they were willing to pay more for service and conservancy to enjoy the new flat designs.

About half of them said they were willing to pay above S$10 more than the usual rates."

which joker at hdb commissioned this feedback coz i sure as hell never even heard abt it until now. god our conservancy is already i think the highest in sg. im juz so sick and tired of PAP propaganda  head banging
actually can do feedback survey at the 'remaking our heartlands' exhibition... do already got freebies, a lot of uncles and aunties do one... but that definitely is not a good guage! not like 100% of the residents here did the survey, how can they so confidently say "81 percent of residents said..."?! should be 81% of those who've done the survey, and we dun even know if those are indeed all punggolians!
