HDB plans to build the biggest shopping complex in Punggol Central, as big as Junction 8. Thats why housing developments in Punggol are concentrated in Punggol Central to bring in more residents.

Punggol Central is bounded by the main Punggol Road right up to Punggol Point, Punggol Way right up to part of Sengkang East including Compass Point Shopping Centre.

Punggol Sapphire, Punggol Regalia and Punggol Arcadia are within Punggol Central. Punggol  Emerald, Punggol Waves and Punggol Ripples are also within the vicinity.

Punggol Ripples offers a total of 472 standard flats.

1. Studio apartments 130 units costing $65,000 to $92,000 per unit.
2. Three room flats 157 units between $158,000 to $185,000
3. Four room flats 185 units between $249,000 to $305,000

Take a look at the bird-eye view of the building site.....

Punggol Ripples started quietly about two months ago with high corrugated sheet fencing. In fact the building site was hidden and surrounded with hugh LRT tracks and support.

On one side, previously was a forest, now being cleared slowly for the new Punggol Walk extension project.

Two months into a building contract, piling was completed. Now 5 excavators are working on the recovery of concrete piles. Within the rectangle in blue, ten concrete piles are exposed. Work should begin soon with the trimming, chipping and eventually the foundations.

The other rectangle in green, work is more advance, some foundations had been concreted.

Looking at Punggol Ripples, one may feel being squeezed by the number of LRT tracks and hundredths of LRT columns everywhere.

Close-up view of site......

Punggol Walk development and extension was carried out almost at the same time as Punggol Ripples. At that time Punggol Ripples was just putting up perimeter fencing.

Next to Punggol Walk was a piece of land full of shrubs and trees. Several temporary sheds were erected by clearing contractors for workers and equipments.
