Punggol Spectra is located along Punggol Central, bounded by Edgefield Plains and Edgedale Plains, next to Horizon Primary School served by the Oasis LRT Station.

As it is now, the construction site is fenced up. When the actual building construction work begins, we will then capture monthly work in progress pictures for review.

As of today, excavators are busy digging the ground. Several pile drilling machines are station on different locations drilling, in preparation for steel reinforcement cage / grouting / concreting.

At one location nearer to the main road ( Punggol central ) several Cement Mixers are unloading ready made grout / concrete into a " cast-in-situ " pile.

In fact hundredth of foreign workers are deployed at " Spectra " working all over the enclosed building site. Some general workers are seen washing trucks and cement mixers as they leaves the muddy ground to make sure the vehicles don't dirty our roads.

" Cast-in-situ piles "  on two locations are ready and load testings are in progress.

In the middle of the site, ready fabricated steel reinforcement cages are stack ready for use. It is  estimated that  in a couple of weeks, the actual Building work should commence.

It's almost 7.45 pm, cement mixers are still busy waiting for their turn to unload concrete into cast piles.

In another 3 to 4 week's time, it is not surprising, the main building work will commence.

The last picture was taken on 15th May 2010. Heavy machinery were at site working on the piling systems. Concrete mixers were very busy moving in and out of the construction site at regular intervals. Other than that, the ground is still flat.

Five weeks later, concrete piles for three blocks / sites nearer to the school were completed and ground excavated exposing the top portion of the completed r.c.piles.

Steel reinforcements of the r.c.piles were straightened and extended. Timber formworks erected to the require size, followed by concreting.

Fabrication of steel reinforcements for walls and columns for the ground floor are in progress. Very soon we'll see the structures erected for the complete floor. In another four weeks, it's not surprising, the first floor will be up for the three blocks.
