Today straits times,

A record busting 236,600 jobs created last year... with 6 in 10 of them going to foreigners as there were not enough locals to fill all the openings

This justfy what we have notice, that is more jobs going to foreigners...... and explaination given... "as there were not enough locals to fill all the openings"... I begged to differ.

The boom is in more of construction related. hence the bulk of it goes to foreigners. it is difficult to have singaporean brick layers, scaffolders and fitters. government impose man year entitlement restricting the engagement of foreign workers requiring min ratio of local staff to foreign staff.
