Pay extra when using NETS??

Tell all retailers to offer discount on the item if customers wish to pay by credit card or cash. If anyone wish to pay NETS, then sorry, no discount.

This is fair because consumers have a choice if they like to pay more or less by exercising their options. It is not good for retailers to raise the price of all items just because NETS wanted to charge more.

Interesting..the article mentioned that retailers are not allowed to pass on the merchants' transaction fee to consumer..
Currently trx fee 0.35-0.55 will go up to 1.9% from July 1. The article also mentioned the rogue retailer, Dynasty Shoes which has been passing the charge to consumers since April 1 even though Nets said it was not supposed to. Well, the owner Mr Patrick B.W. said he will continue levying the 1.7% trx fee to consumers paying by Nets until told otherwise. Hmmm, the article also carried out the receipt which shows the retailer address at #01-06 Parkway Parade, 80 Marine Parade Road, S449269, tel: 63446957. You can call 62741212 if you come across such cases.

One way or the other, in the long run I think NETs would have to phase out if retailers decide not to use its Nets facilities if consumers decide not to use NETs.

You can actually see this thrend in SLS, you will pay extra x% if you use cards (credit/nets) for payment. And if without cards, you may even get cash rebate or freebies..

The best way, let those shops give up nets services. The most use visa/mc/amex to pay if there is no ATM machine around.
