Ever since there is this Charity Donation Show, there is this stupid GST and surcharge. For so many years, I've never use the donation thru phone call. I will donate directly to the charity organisation instead.
Why should we pay extra money to do charity, especially GST!

that is already very common... every charity donations on phone call alway charge admin fee. that the reason why i don't donate. i wrote a chq to red cross.

somehow they really need to think abt it. what so big deal to waive off the admin charge? must there be any profit? since this is a charity, they should have all the donation being given to the people in need.

well, you should have looked at the annual report of the red cross before  signing away your cheque

I don't even wanna donate money, coz it's absurd. I occasionally volunteer if I wanna do some good.

You never know where your money is really going.

Donate $2, $1.80 go to others and $0.20 to the needy.

don't really trust all these donations. The money reach China already then how? Since dealing business with PRCs, can't trust them at all as long as money concerns. Their resources should be more than enough for all the rescue works.

Why US and Japan have all natural disasters like hurricanes & earthquakes, other countries are not doing donations for them at all.
