There's a growing trend of SAHM. Any one here intend to go back to the workforce when the kids grow up? Any Masters or PHD here? No more CPF contributions. Any plans for retirement?

I think its not going to be easy to adapt to the work force after stopping work for 6years (2 pregnancies, 2 yrs  for each child). Many children of our generation grew up in the environment where parents have to work and the kids got to take care of their own needs. And many grew up to be scholars and PHDs, being very successful in their lives.

I feel that its a blessing for the children to grow up in an environment where mom is always around but I feel tat it would be a pity tat we women have to face with the discrimination in the workforce during pregnancy and to forsake the many years of effort spent in attaining the education, for the sake of our the kids.

I applaud at your courage to be a SAHM by choice. For me, its will be just a dream.

Thank Goodness I am not a scholar or PHD holders.

it's really a pity for our parents to give us a good education and yet the daughter chose to be a housewife with 0 income. Imagine if the other partner has change of heart how hah?
