Hi Jaclyn
When my boy turn 1 month old- I was thinking should I send him to infant care or a home base nanny. There are many areas for us 1st time mum to consider.
1st, Infant Care - I was like 80% for it in the 1st place.
But later after thinking & praying about it. God kind of answer my prayer.
Infant Care is good but cost wise is higher.
And in the event if baby sick- any cough or fever : parent cannot send them which in this case I don't have any1 that i can as & when help me to look after.
However chances of them getting ill from catching some virus from other kids is higher. And from what I understand is one care taker taking care of 5 babies.
So I was telling my self it will be good if I can have a homebase nanny.
Till I got 2 calls from 2 Nannys.
I visited them, and final descision is Nanny Chew.
Price is cheaper than Infant care.
She cleans her home very often- sun my sons mattres & pillows every wkend from what i know.
As for food, she feed my son cod fish, vegetables & fruits.
And I do drop by very often- so far everything seems normal.
However, no one is perfect.
We can't expect her to be the best.
But one very important thing which I regretted is ...
Before we sign the employment contract with her, she has asked if she could take up another assignment to pick up her previous boy that she has been caring for the past 2 years. Just to pick him up at 5.30pm from playgroup & feed him dinner till his mummy pick him up at ard 9plus.
Thot that was quite harmless since I have already fetch my boy back home by 5plus most of the time. But then I didn't expect the little boy's mum will park him with my nanny whenever he is ill.
So far so good nothing major happen... yet that my was my regrets
