Hi punggolow,

if u aim is to spend more time with the kids, yes.you should try to get another maid in.. i think is alright to let the maid sleep in the living room if she doesnt mind.

currently my maid sleep in 1 room, my mother another room, and 3 kids + hubby + me in the MBR.. but as my children get olders, i planned to shift them to their own room next yr, and get the maid to sleep in the living room too.

Thanks for the input. Wow, you and hubby and 3 kids in the MBR! My kids sleep in their room when we moved to Punggol - it was natural to wean them to be in their room. However, my youngest is still sneaking into our room in the middle of the night!

Isnt it a bit inconvenient to have kids sleeping with parents? Can't enjoy private moments with HB..

IMO, i think kids are terrible sleepers. They sleep like clocks.
I was hit by son every night when he was sleeping betwn us till i cant take it any more and send him off once he doze off every night.

My son has a premanent spot between my wife and myself. And refuse to give up that spot without a fight. Big headache now, as second son due in early August. Would have to plan for a super XXXL King Size bed or partition.  Tongue

Told my maid, if she plans to work long with us, it is only natural that when the boys grow older, she may have to surrender her room. Currently, she sleeping in the entertainment room. And when we shift to Punggol, she would be sleeping in a combo room, part maid's quarters, part study/computer/books room.
