Hi,

Have you encountered ill-disciplined kids who runs around the library unsupervise, hogs the kiosk where we use for searching of library books(because they want to play with the computer)Huh?

I just encountered 1 spoilt brat today. I was at the Sengkang library and wanted to use the kiosk to look for a book. When I was queuing, the boy who was "using" the kiosk, quickly use his hands to cover the screen and turn around and glare at me. I asked him whether is he using the kiosk as I need to find a book. To my disgust, he glared at me and replied rudely "yes, I am! Go other kiosk lah! and all these while, his hand is still covering the screen. I told him other kiosk are occupied and I'm not hindering him since I'm just queuing but he continued to glare and stare at me. Ignoring him, I walk away.

The boy is of primary school age and is already behaving as if he "owns" the place and looks as if he wants to pick a fight. I can't help but wonder what will he turn out to be if his parents do not correct him now. Of course, like do many other kids who are unsupervise, his parents are nowhere to be seen.

Maybe, one of the parenthood course that MCYS provide, they can look into teaching moral values & ethics courses that "by right", parents should know what to teach their young ones. If not, I seriously can't imagine what is this generation that we are moulding for our nation.
