Hi...

Just enrolled my son into piano lesson.....
Any ideas whether should I buy a keyboard or Digital Piano???
Any brand recommendation or lobang to buy at a cheaper price?
I'm have "ZERO" knowledge about Piano.....   (No $$ to learn when I'm a kid    Cry )

Seek some advise from the Piano Lesson teacher...
She said either Keyboard or Digital Piano will do, but best is to purchase Digital Piano...  with 88 keys.....
No other recommendations from her..........

Any parents can help to enlighten me..........

Thank you....   Tongue

I think if your son is seriously going to learn piano till he reaches some grades, it would be best to invest in a piano, not a keyboard or digital piano.

That's what my sis-in-law says too. She is a very experienced piano tr. We are currently using keyboard (since already have it at home) but will probably invest in a gd piano next yr. Got to make sure kid really want to learn and discipline to practice first. If not, waste of $ and space...

My daughter complains tt the keyboeard is not the same, we told her to just make do first. She gets to play the piano and even the baby grand piano at aunt's place, so she can tell the difference. My sil mentioned tt she'll recommend a particular brand to us, which should be able to last a lifetime. Maybe abt $5000?

I know the other cheaper option is weighted keyboard, that's what my hubby says. Don't know much though.

real piano is necessary. Wait till grade 1 or grade 2, and you'll see whether the child is really interested not force by parents. Because grade 4 onwards, need perserverance.

Investment 1st hand piano $5000 onwards
2nd hand around $1800 onwards depending on model, year.
